BOWIE, Md. (DC News Now) — In the last few weeks, there have been mysterious "drones" spotted flying over areas of New Jersey.
Homeland Security Officials met with New Jersey state lawmakers as well as other officials to address the incidents.
A New Jersey Representative claimed the drones were coming off a mothership from Iran.
However, the Pentagon said the drones don’t appear to be coming from a foreign entity or adversary.
“There’s no so-called mothership launching drones toward the United States,” said Pentagon Deputy Press Secretary Sabrina Singh.
Mysterious drones have now also been spotted over Bowie, according to videos sent to DC News Now by a viewer.
Autumn Stasulli and her family were out trying to see Christmas lights when they spotted flashing red and green lights in the sky above her Bowie home on Monday night.
"There's a drone, they’re all over,” said Autumn Stasulli in one of the videos.
Stasulli said she spotted what appeared to be three to five drones the size of SUVs in the sky emitting loud noises.
“I got out of my car and started filming and these drones were just all over the place. I was shocked,” said Stasulli.
Stasulli said she then saw what appeared to be military jets chasing after the drones.
“This is very unsettling like I would like to know where these are coming from especially now that they’re starting to be seen in Maryland,” said Stasulli.
“Where are these actually coming from?" said Stasulli. “Are they coming in from another country perhaps or is it something along the lines of ‘hey’ another dimension? Aliens? My mind went in different areas.”
DC News Now reached out to the Department of Homeland Security and the FBI but did not hear back in time for publication.
Fort Meade officials said they have had no reports of drones.
Bowie police said it is investigating the incident.
